Short-Term Parking Rates at LGA

If you are traveling in and out of LGA in a day and just need a parking garage or spot to keep your car for a few hours,  short-term parking will be your best option. But fair warning: the charges here get steep when you leave your car for extended daily or long-term parking.

The charges start at $5 for each half-hour, making it an affordable option for quick visits. The maximum daily fee for short-term parking is $55 for Terminals A and B and $70 for Terminal C. That $70 rate is considerably higher than you’ll find at offsite or long-term lots.

With the prices defined, where do you find the short-term parking lots at LGA? The hourly parking terminals, like Terminal C parking, are located near the entrances for departures.

Long-Term Parking Rates at LaGuardia Airport

Long-term parking at LaGuardia Airport is designed for those who need to leave their car for several days or even weeks.

Note that you’ll find a much better deal on long-term parking if you stay away from the short-term lots and pre-book the economy parking.

Parking OptionPre-Book Rate (per day)Drive-Up Rate (per day)
Terminal A Parking$39$55
Terminal B Parking$39$60
Terminal C Parking$45$70
Prepaid Economy Parking$29Not available for drive-up

Daily and Weekly Rates

Rates change sometimes based on the length of the stay. The maximum cost for a more premium parking option is $89 per day, but there are long-term lots that offer rates starting as low as $29 per day.

Pre-booking your long-term parking at Terminals A and B can offer significant savings. For instance, Terminal A’s parking drive-up rate is $55 per day, but if you do the pre-book rate, you’ll only pay $39 per day.

Although the long-term parking lots are a little further away, they offer an airport shuttle bus every 10 minutes.

Prepaid Economy Parking

Prepaid economy parking at LaGuardia Airport is conveniently located near Terminal C. You can register up to 24 hours in advance for this one. The pricing starts at $29 for the first 24 hours and then $14.50 for every 12 hours or a fraction thereof from that point forward.

Cheapest Parking Options at LGA

Parking at Laguardia is not cheap, and this is, in large part, due to how busy this airport is. But if you want to save a little money (and have a few extra minutes to spare), you may want to look at offsite parking lots. Some offsite lots offer pricing as low as $7.50 a day.

The cheapest offsite parking lots will have uncovered parking, but some covered parking is available starting at around $15 a day. Remember, during peak travel seasons, it’s harder to find a spot to secure something sooner rather than later.

While offsite lots require a bit more travel, you should be able to save a lot of money (especially when you utilize sites like Way.com). Just keep in mind, when choosing an off-site lot, ait’s important to look for lots with 24/7 security and a free shuttle that runs all day and night.

Free Parking Options at LaGuardia Airport

You’ll have a hard time finding anything for free near the LaGuardia airport. However, if you are heading to LGA just to pick up a friend or family member, you don’t need to secure or reserve a parking spot. Instead, take advantage of the cell phone waiting lot, which is designed to reduce airport congestion and act as a waiting area until a flight arrives.

The lot is located on 94th Street, just half a mile from the airport. It operates 24/7 from 7 a.m. to midnight. Just be aware that you’ll have to stay in your vehicle when using this lot, so don’t plan on waiting for your loved ones by baggage claim.

Premium and Valet Parking Services

In addition to the LGA Airport parking lots for short-term and long-term parking, you’ll also have the options for premium and valet parking services. With these options, you’ll be very close to the terminal entrances and can take advantage of additional services you won’t find elsewhere.

The current parking rates at LaGuardia for Reserved Premium Parking and Valet Parking are as follows:

Reserved Premium Parking

Reserve parking offers dedicated spaces near terminal entrances. Rates start at around $45 per day. You’ll want to book these spots in advance to avoid the hassle of searching for parking on your day of travel.

If you want convenience as you travel and are willing to pay a bit for it, the reserved premium parking is a great option.

Valet Parking Rates and Services

Valet parking at LaGuardia Airport provides an efficient and hassle-free parking solution. Starting at around $45/$50 per day, valet parking offers quick drop-off and pick-up services. When you use valet, you can also benefit from add-ons like car detailing and luggage assistance. The LGA valet team is happy to answer any questions you have about security for your vehicle while it’s being stored.
